🐾 Pedigree Maine Coons 🐾
Maine Coons require regularly grooming. Good everyday brushes are a wide tooth comb, slicker brush and tangle teezers however even indoor cats will develop matts, these tend to develop on their stomachs, back legs and underarms though they can get them in other locations. We recommend having your Maine Coon professionally groomed by a qualified cat groomer.
Maine Coons require regular teeth brushing to help prevent the development of dental problems including gingivitis. A good hygiene routine is vital for your kitten/cat. Lots of good cat toothpastes, food toppers and water additives are available to keep your kitten/cats teeth and gums healthy. When taking out insurance it is wise to see if dental is included in your policy.
Your kitten/cat requires a yearly health check and vaccination booster. They have had their core kitten vaccinations with us. We give the cat flu vaccine only.
Maine Coons should be fed a high quality diet. It is essential they get all the necessary vitamins, minerals and calories to grow healthy. Vitamin pastes are available which can be added to their food or given directly to them.
Your kitten has had a full worming course before leaving us and had had flea treatments including a spot on just before they leave us which lasts 4 weeks. It is essential that you maintain regular flea and worming treatments for you kitten/cat to stay healthy. Indoor cats can catch fleas and worms too!
It’s important to provide an environment in your home that enriches your Maine Coons life. This will help your Maine Coon to feel happy and less stressed.
I would recommend toys, cat shelves, a good quality cat tree or scratching post. It is important to get a cat tree or scratching post that can take your Maine Coons weight. My cat trees and scratching posts come from Cat Tree UK, please follow this link to buy your own https://cattree.uk/?ref=coonjanglesmc
